Use Again: Closing the Loop

The end of a product’s life shouldn’t be the end of its journey.

We believe in designing with the end in mind - which is why every myCreation luminaire is built to be disassembled, recycled, or reused. Our circular approach ensures that materials stay in the loop, not the landfill.

1. Disassembly

Easy to take apart. Even easier to do the right thing.

We make it simple to disassemble our luminaires. Whether it’s for recycling, repairing, or replacing parts - you won’t need a specialized toolkit or complex instructions. Our approach:

  • No glue, potting, or permanent fasteners
  • Minimal screws, standard connectors, bayonet fittings
  • Most components can be replaced toolless or require only standard tools
  • Clear disassembly instructions are always available

This makes product take-down fast, intuitive, and sustainable - no wasteful shortcuts.

2. Recycling

Designed for the recycling stream, not the scrap heap.

From the earliest design phase, we prioritize material purity and recyclability. Our luminaires are constructed from mono-materials wherever possible, with no coatings or paint that would interfere with standard recycling processes.

We work within established recycling schemes in both Europe and the USA, and we actively recycle in our own production process to minimize waste.

  • Out-of-spec filament is re-granulated into new filament
  • Misprints or rejected parts are shredded and reused
  • No material is wasted unless absolutely necessary

Result? Our waste becomes a resource again.

3. Take Back

Your old becomes our new.

When a 3D-printed luminaire reaches the end of its life, we don’t just offer recycling, we take it back ourselves. How it works:

  • Return used 3D-printed polycarbonate parts through our take-back program (currently in EU)
  • We process and recycle the materials to create new luminaires
  • Partners in place for responsible recycling and recovery
  • Discounts available on new products when you send back the old

This is a true circular model, keeping value in the system while rewarding sustainable choices.

4. Additional Solutions: Refurbishment & LAAS

Engineer-to-Order (ETO) Refurbishment
Have an old, iconic luminaire you love but want to upgrade? We can retrofit it with modern LED technology while preserving the outer design.

  • Keep the aesthetics
  • Upgrade the performance
  • Save resources

Light As A Service (LAAS)
Need lighting, but not ownership? Through LAAS, you pay a monthly fee while we handle installation, maintenance, and end-of-life returns.

  • No upfront investment
  • Always up-to-date lighting
  • Fully circular service model
