Use Less: Maximize efficiency, minimize material impact

Energy use doesn’t stop when a luminaire leaves the factory.

In fact, most of a product’s carbon footprint comes from its lifetime use.

That’s why we start with very efficient LEDs and drivers, delivering top-tier lumen-per-watt performance. With smart controls and connected dimming, we reduce energy even further - automatically adjusting light output based on real-time needs.

1. Less Energy

Doing more with less - one lumen at a time.

The energy used over a product’s lifetime has the largest impact on its environmental footprint. That’s why our luminaires are built around state-of-the-art LEDs and drivers, outperforming the market by approximately 20 Lm/W.

Our Highlight high bay leads the way with nearly 200 Lm/W - making it a true queen of efficiency.

Smart connected lighting pushes this even further. With dimming capabilities, presence detection, and daylight sensors, our systems reduce energy use automatically — without compromising comfort or performance.

2. Less Virgin Materials

Turning waste into wonders.

Virgin materials come at a high environmental cost. That’s why we prioritize recycled, bio-based, and industrially repurposed materials - and we’re proud to say we don’t use 100% virgin materials in any of our printed parts.

2.1. Plastics for Printing

All our printed parts contain 65% to 75% sustainable content, using one of three carefully selected streams:

  • Post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials
  • Bio-circular materials
  • Post-industrial recycled (PIR) materials

2.2 Metals

When metal is necessary, we make it count.

  • Heatsinks in Accent D65, Accent D90, and Smooth families are made from 85% post-consumer recycled aluminum.
  • Some of our new circular downlights are engineered without heatsinks, reducing environmental impact even further.

2.3 Packaging

Packaging is often overlooked, but we treat it as part of the product.

  • All paper-based packaging contains ≥80% recycled content or is from 100% renewable sources
  • No single-use plastics: no blisters, no plastic bags, no dust covers, no plastic tape
  • Simple, recyclable brown boxes without ink printing

3. Less Weight

Light in weight. Heavy in impact.

Our 3D-printed luminaires weigh up to 80% less than traditional metal luminaires.¹ Thanks to the design freedom of additive manufacturing, we combine multiple functions into a single part, reducing the number of components by up to 40%

That lighter build means:

  • Lower emissions during transport
  • Faster installation
  • Less packaging
  • Greater efficiency across the supply chain
